Actress Maryam Charles shares pains of Dapchi schoolgirl’s mothers on
International Women’s Day

Nollywood actress Maryam Charles has joined her voice with the rest of the world to speak on the recently abducted Dapchi schoolgirls. The actress seized the opportunity of the International Women’s Day to address the pains and agonies of the mothers of these schoolgirls who were whipped away by Boko Haram on February 19. The actress took to her Instagram page to write about the feelings of the mothers and herself as a woman. She also celebrated all women working to support their families in one way or the other.
She wrote: “We celebrate International Women's Day, but for mothers in Dapchi, Yobe state, the day was bad. Their children are still missing having said to be taken away by Boko Haram. I am heart broken by this and I can't even imagine what the mothers are going through at the moment. I really do hope they are found soon. To all women working to provide a better life for themselves and their family, don't stop, keep striving, and keep working. The voices that seek to stop you may be many but, don't listen. You are strong, you are brave.
I really hope our government is doing all they can to bring the girls back home because every minute wasted is a shame on our great nation. #nollywood
